Derek Blyth is a writer and a journalist, originally from the UK, who has lived in Brussels for more than 30 years. Formerly editor-in-chief of the Brussels English-language weekly The Bulletin, he has written several books on the Low Countries. He is also the author of The 500 Hidden Secrets of Antwerp, Bruges and Brussels, and Hidden Belgium. His bestselling books are praised for showing people a side of Belgium they never knew existed.
