This book centers on Symbolism and Realism in ¿The outsiders¿ by Susan Eloise Hinton. On the one hand, it intends to demonstrate that the narrative contains symbols that express ideas beyond their literal meanings. On the other hand, it aims at figuring out that realism is shown through characters way by attitudes that indicate high moral and vices. Furthermore, the book uses the sociological, psychoanalytical, intrinsic, extrinsic, thematic, formalist approach, reader response, historical, and biographical approaches for data collection and data analysis. Finally, it makes a glimpse at how the teenagers should get rid of vices that can endanger their future life.
