Jude was one of the original 12 apostles called by Jesus. He followed the call to spread the Good News of the Gospel to the world. Some people didn't like Saint Jude because of the message, but he found the courage to keep going, traveling to many countries, performing miracles, and teaching people about Jesus and the love of God. Today people pray to Saint Jude to ask for help with problems that seem almost impossible because he is known as a saint who provides help in serious situations. How does Saint Jude inspire you?

Barbara Yoffie has been in Catholic education for 35 years as both a primary grades classroom teacher and religion education coordinator. Currently, she is the coordinator of religious education at St. Clement of Rome Elementary School, St. Louis, MO. She is a well-known presenter on a variety of topics, including seasons of the Church year, saints, creative activities, and praying with children. Yoffie has a master's degree in religious education administration from Loyola University, New Orleans, a bachelor's degree in art education, and a certificate of religious studies, from Paul VI Institute, St. Louis. She is the author of the Saints and Me! series, as well as several pamphlets and booklets on saints.
